KPV is one of the 16 voivodeships (regions) of Poland. Transportation infrastructure is of critical importance to the voivodeship's economy and its potential is discerned as one of the regional smart specialization. Therefore KPV is striving for position of major node in the Polish transportation system including inland waterway connection via Vistula River to the Ports of Gdynia and Gdansk.
